About the Dentist
Dr. Blumenstock has practiced in Monroe Township since 1978 and enjoys treating patients of all ages. He received his undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College and his dental degree from Columbia University in 1975. His post graduate general practice residency was completed at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center, also in New York City. From the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Blumenstock has been awarded both the Fellowship and Mastership Awards.
To earn the Mastership Award he first had to obtain AGD fellowship status by passing an exam and completing 500 course hours. Mastership candidates must complete 600 additional hours, 400 of which must be earned through "hands on" courses. Dr. Blumenstock is on staff at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in the Dental Department and at the Comprehensive Sleep Center in New Brunswick. He is a charter member of the Sleep Disorder Dental Society and has been certified by the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.
As the dental consultant at the medical school faculty practice, Dr. Blumenstock evaluates those patients who snore and/or have sleep apnea and would benefit by use of an oral airway appliances. Dr. Blumenstock is also a member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association and the Middlesex County Dental Society. Dr. Blumenstock married his wife, Harriet, in 1976 and they have a son, daughter and granddaughter.
Dr. Sorkin has practiced in Monroe Township since 1983. He received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Stoneybrook and received his dental degree from Columbia University in 1982. His postgraduate residency training was completed at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey. He has earned the prestigious Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry by passing an exam and completing 500 course hours within 10 years. Dr. Sorkin treats patients of all ages, and practices all types of general dentistry.
He has taken extensive courses in cosmetic dentistry and has incorporated the latest techniques in our office. Dr. Sorkin is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, Middlesex County Dental Society and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Dr. Sorkin married his wife, Gail, in 1979 and they have two sons.
